DOG OF GOD
(DIEVA SUNS)

Drenched in autumn rain and darkness, the medieval town of Livonia becomes the stage for disturbed events. As a relic is stolen from Priest Bukholcs' quarters, he accuses the enigmatic tavern owner, Neze, of the robbery. A trial is set by Klods, a baron struggling with infertility, who discovers the magical properties of an otherworldly plant brought to him from Africa. However, the accusations are disrupted by the arrival of a wanderer and shaman, Dog of God, who claims knowledge of the relic's whereabouts—it has been taken to Hell. Chaos, orchestrated by the shaman, ensues, culminating in a trial by water for Neze and triggering a sacrament that unleashes suppressed desires of the village people.

“Delirious and horror-tinged fever dream of psychedelia that harkens back to the audacious and edgy animation days of filmmakers like Ralph Bakshi and cult classics like Heavy Metal.”

Matt Barone - Tribeca Genre Film Programmer

"An outrageous display of animated filmmaking capable of producing images that are equally ecstatic and terrifying.”
